Laser Lipolysis (Laser Liposuction, Laser Fat Removal)

Laser lipolysis is the most advanced method for removal of unwanted deposits of fat and is one of the most popular surgical procedures in the world.

Intended for:

  • correction of body shape in the areas of fatty tissue excess
  • removal of local accumulations of fat for patients having normal weight
  • removal of cellulite even for patients having normal weight
  • skin lift
  • removal of lipomas
  • male breast enlargement (Gynaecomastia)
  • correction of previous insufficient or unsuccessful liposuctions

Advantages:

  • Safe, less traumatic, minimally invasive procedure.
  • Incomparably better aesthetic effect is received in comparison with traditional liposuction. Skin unevenness disappears, additional surgeries are not required.
  • Additional post-operative effect such as skin lift is received, effect of floppy skin disappears.
  • General anaesthesia is not necessary; thus, additional preparation for the surgery is unnecessary.
  • Considerably shorter and easier post-operative period: painkillers are usually not necessary, wounds heal more rapidly and nicely, smaller bruising.
  • Is ideally suitable for hard to reach with usual suction cannula areas: chin, inner area of the upper arms, knees, in case of gynaecomastia, in case of lipomas, etc. A very nice aesthetic result is achieved by minimally invasive method without causing traumas to surrounding tissues.

Duration of the surgery: approximately 1-4 hours.

How it is performed: while comparing with traditional liposuction, during this procedure the same or even the bigger volume of unwanted fat is removed. A special cannula with laser optical fibre is inserted through micro incision. By using laser ray energy the fatty tissue is simply melted and the liquid is sucked out. When there are smaller accumulations, the melted fat simply removes by itself together with the lymph. Due to the thermal effect of laser energy in a period of approximately 4 months the skin shrinks and its excess is reduces.

Anaesthesia: local anaesthesia.

Post-operative period:

• Usually patient is discharged on the same day of the surgery.
• Big post-operative pain is not characteristic except the cases of big volume procedure;
• Compression garment is worn for 1 month.
• The patient is able to come back to work 1 week later, for 4 weeks sport is not recommended.

Efficiency:

• The results of the surgery are long-term if the weight is stable.
• In case of weight gain fat accumulation in the surgical areas will be significantly smaller because eliminated fat cells do not regrow
